The curse of the Murakami… cuz Phillies and Mets didn’t show interest, they are cursed.

Gotta say, surprising they are letting Reyes sit and go cold.
Why are so many lawyer commercials so cringey?
Acknowledged. Yet, there is something about players’ “emotional chemistry” impacting performance. Abrupt personnel changes can impact that for a temporary jolt. Unfair, but enough to get out of a funk maybe? A crafty manager figures out how to provide that jolt so they don’t have to be fired.
Isn’t this just bumping the trainwreck inning to the second? Or do they figure it’ll make that big a diff that he starts with middle or bottom of the order when he’s throwing BP pitches.
It ain’t gonna be great. But nothing with the Phillies is great right now. So doesn’t make much difference if Zack has a couple sucky starts with the big club as he tries to get back to form. At least when he has a crappy start, there’s some hope he will improve.
Bohm sitting two days in a row. Is this more about Sosa than Bohm?
Did I misread your text? You are saying there were only two relief pitchers (Shugart and McGarry). Things have shuffled, and it sounds like there are still only two (now Johnson and Harper). I thought Backhus, Cabrera and a few others were there.
Um… now McGarry is traded and Shugart has been promoted. I guess they get Johnson back, but can’t really use him tonight.

Lots of high scoring games yesterday
That’s how we do
We should start drafting lineup permutations based on single stats. It’s the equivalent of slumping on the sofa trying to fling playing cards into a hat across the room. Here are my nominations. Lineup ascending or descending by:
-2026 BAvg
-2026 OBP
-2025 SO to BB ratio
-Height
-Fascial hair
This makes me want to watch the Mets. Not because I hate the Mets, but because it’s like watching a train wreck in slo-mo - you just can’t look away.
Omg. They called Kimbrel up too?
Had no idea he was back with Mets. Especially after some trash talk about them the last time he was with them. But Pham just keeps showing up.
Huh? It was the third inning.
Sportsball!! Ya don’t see that every day. I kinda want to follow the RFer’s career to see if he makes it to next level or if this us a regular occurrence. Btw, still intrigued by Aroon since last spring training.
Time to start rage-posting ridiculous lineup permutations.
I am not all over the stats, and don’t really know how to look this up, but my impression is that most of the time when Alec is not hitting well he’s still making contact. Tonight he just kept striking out like he couldn’t even see the ball.
This is a wild lineup. I guess they stick with this through this series, and then whichever RHH hits best in next three games gets plopped in cleanup next series.
Never woulda guessed this lineup.
Side note: I forgot how the videos on BlueSky do this weird washout with pink tint. You commented about that last year. Then the videos seemed to get better. But these (not just yours) are at it again.
De La Cruz’s bat would probably go cold too with limited games, but to your point, a little better in the field? Moore has something like a .206 career BA, but prob provides better D out there.
Hey! What about Stubbs? (before you rage at me, I’m kidding)
Lefty on the mound for SF. Platoon is the plan.
Yup. Ya never know how things will net out with streaky hitters.
Ex-ex-Phillie watch
Yes. Yes I am. I anticipated they’d make some more AAA signings. Usually takes 10 to 11 different starters to get through. Let’s assume number 11 is a bullpen game. Walker is #6, some combo of Wilson, Cabrera, Rangel is #7, 8, 9. Feels like a bleak picture. Are there any free agents lingering?
