That said - every single year I make it to SGDQ, I feel more and more a part of the speedrunning community. This year especially I felt more connected with people and a true extension of the group. I met new people, made new friends, and extended an arm to new members of the community. [3/8]

nearly as often as I’d like, so these marathons are an important opportunity for me to connect with the communities I hold so dear. Unfortunately, due to a healthy dose of adult-onset introversion, these opportunities also require significant mental gymnastics most of the time. [2/8]

Post-SGDQ Post!

TL;DR - This was easily one of my favorite years at SGDQ.

I’d gone to GDQs in the past, but only really got into speedrunning games myself in late 2020 and regularly going to SGDQ in 2022. For a plethora of reasons, I don’t get time to watch and engage with Twitch streams [1/8]
