Running a character is a lot like writing a character. If you know your character's motives and personality, you might be surprised at what happens when you get into their head and let them run the show.

A loaf of bread, a slice of mutton, that's all this fellow asks.
Refuse him rudely and you will find yourself turned to wine in his oaken casks.

Not to mention it breaks up what should be whole clauses into parts that might not make sense in isolation and out of context.

Honestly, I'd forgotten I did that until you replied.

As for the threading, yeah, it helps, but it's a band-aid for a problem that's self-inflicted. Text, even unicode text, is incredibly cheap to store. I just don't see the point of keeping a feature that limits discourse.

Normally I put the tags at the end of the story. Because I couldn't do this one in one post, I put them in the second part. I think a bunch of people may have missed the first part as a result. So lesson learned. Tags go first.

Introduced a secondary character, Tirechan the cait sidhe. He's sassy and English, but I figure that in a paranormal world that such fey would move about rather freely, so I think it's not implausible.
