If you wouldn't use racist or antisemitic insults against people you disagree with you shouldn't use sexist ones either

There are plenty of ways to criticise her that don't involve sexist clichés
Hansard is a historical record and can't really deal with accusations of lying in real time. If it were allowed then everyone would make those accusations against their opponents and the whole thing would disintegrate. It must rely on other sources of evidence to back it up.
Am increasingly tired of having to parse the 'approach' of people who have no business running a country.
strange these op-eds about women being too angry have all come out the last few days when during the same time there's also been a massive investigation published on an online rape academy with millions of viewers a month and none of them have bothered to even cover it, even as news

The human circulatory system, before and after proper cable management.
A large white waterfowl with orange feet stands in front of a door. On the door is a cardboard sign secured with tape that reads, "DO NOT LET THE DUCK IN." Adding insult to injury, I think the duck might be a goose.
Whatever you do,
I’ll never forget watching The Wicker Man with my outer Hebridean mum. “I just don’t know where there got all that wicker from”
8 years ago, I told a story which changed my life forever. Shortly after, an old pal from college asked if he could turn it into a film.
So I am DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE that 'Me, Myself & Mary' is not only finished, but has been chosen to lead the Tribeca Festival's animated shorts roster this year.
The only field where people will climb over the bodies of their dead rivals to secure that coveted permanent position in a massive bureaucracy, only to spend the rest of their career complaining about paperwork and administrators.
It's wonderful. A story that has been told many times about men, but was much more interesting for being about a woman. And they chose not to sexualise her, but still make her extremely smart and glamorous.
It seems to me that Unionism is more important than being progressive, and that would apply at UK level as well. It's just that in Scotland you apparently have to choose
I don't even think you have to go that far. People who were able to work from home, in a spacious house with a garden, don't have the slightest insight into how bad things were for most people during the pandemic. Could just be they're catching up now.
I think that as economists we should be a lot more concerned that everyone feels like they've got poorer when the data show they haven't. We certainly shouldn't just be assuming that the customers are wrong, rather than that we're no longer measuring things that are most relevant to wellbeing
A nice chance to find out which race is the most buoyant, tbh
I genuinely don't understand why this isn't a major reference point in our political discourse.

Have been thinking for ages that 'twitter brained' could probably be replaced with 'being paid', but I'm now going to assume that's the case unless I hear otherwise.
I tend to think that their need to adopt this stance is contributing hugely to their difficulty in making the case for rejoin.
a screenshot of a google search for "nearest star" with a pop-up asking if you'd like to "see results closer to you?"
i don't think that'll make the result any more precise, but sure
Choose Life, Mr R.

An embroidery hoop containing a sewn aerial view landscape. It depicts an apple orchard in bloom in the centre, allotments to the left and sheep in their field at the bottom. Train tracks go past the top of the orchard and allotment.
Sewn train tracks past an apple orchard (to the left).
An angled view of a sewn vegetable allotment surrounded by rough land, trees and with train tracks to the left.
An angled view of embroidered bushes and paths going through them leading to an orchard, allotment and fields.
'A simple (perfect) life' - my spring landscape is finally finished! An apple orchard in bloom, old railway, sheep with their lambs and an allotment being prepared for growing :) Zoom in to see all the other tiny details too... I think this might be my favourite aerial embroidery I've ever done!
Genuinely one of the coolest things I've ever seen a cultural venue post

Essentially he's saying Iran's not gonna do that because he/the administration doesn't want Iran to do that and that proves he doesn't understand analogies, Iran, or wives. Or course there was an agreement about that enriched uranium, but Trump ditched it.
The amazing thing about writing is it's basically time travel and whenever I think about that it blows my mind. It's a genuine miracle.
I mean, just think about it: a Chinese general from 2,500 years ago can point out the President of the USA is a fucking idiot.
It's incredible.
