There should be a law: when an elected official announces a change of party, there should immediately be a new election. And while I'm at it, we should have a mechanism to remove via a no confidence vote any elected official in whom the electorate has lost faith.
Democratic leaders think they are minority party of governing coalition, rather than opposition party to authoritarian regime.

Now would an excellent time for military leaders that actually stand for the constitution to make their voices heard.
In a civilised society the military would turn on their despotic leader and remove him from power.

It is beyond clear that this president and many in the administration are actively acting against their paths to the Constitution and the interests of our nation.
It is time for an intervention.
