Farmers hard at work in the Shires.

They have been doing almost 24 hour round-robin relays the last week.

Clearly, written by someone who has never played (or indeed watched) Rugby Union.

Nothing but fucking rules, as anyone who has been exasperated whilst a scrum is reset for the third time will tell you.

But that’s so unusual. The Max/Red Bull liveries are usually so patient, sensible and fight-fairly.

Why would you both inflict these on us?

My disappointment is immeasurable and my evening has been ruined.

I hope you both think carefully about your actions and redeem yourselves with better looking bikes tomorrow.

They have a point. I am about to hit my 40’s, and I still yearn for toys for my birthday.

Of course, it goes without saying: if you haven’t watched Frost/Nixon (or read the book), stop wasting time on the internet and go and find it.

Michael Sheen and Frank Langella are both absolutely faultless.

I grew up thinking Sir David Frost was a terribly dull man who was on when I wanted to watch cartoons.

I’ve recently watched some of That Was The Week That Was as well as his interviews, and my word, he was as close to the definition of National TreasureTM as current affairs could get. What a man.

Instead of being carried through the church gates into the graveyard, his coffin was taken over the wall due to the stigma of the time in regards to suicide.

Jones' headstone faces in the opposite direction (north) to the others of the time (which face south).

Private Jones died by gunshot wound to the head, having borrowed a rifle from a neighbour to go hunting.

His death certificate records a verdict of suicide whilst insane. The coroner heard that he was plagued by recurring nightmares arising from his desperate hand-to-hand combat with Zulus.

Found today.

Jones fought at the Battle of Rourke’s Drift, keeping up such a rate of fire that he had to alternate rifles as they overheated.

He helped evacuate six patients from the station’s field hospital. The seventh, delirious from pain, refused & was killed by the Zulus.

Some folk make it difficult to form a connection. They’re not doing themselves any favours in winning people around to their niche.

Ugh, that’s brutal. I hope you get a proper weekend soon.

Thanks!
