I'm from Australia & I'm watching abc7 coverage, I can't fathom it. Seeing general neighborhoods destroyed is just terrifying, then the areas by the beach is just mind blowing. I've lived places where you are told to evacuate to beaches in fires yet that didn't stop anything in this case.

I can't wrap my head around this happening firstly in Santa Monica, secondly in winter. Just terrifying
