What drives you to make videos about VRChat?

A lot of people play VRChat without paying anything extra into it, but it does start getting pricey once you get into the self expression aspects of it. Beyond getting full body tracking it's pretty common for people to spend multiple hundreds of dollars on custom avatars from scratch.

Last night I finally finished Dr. Morro's newest experimental VRChat world Ritual, I liked the dream-like psychedelic imagery of the different scenes in the world. I still like his Organism trilogy a bit more than Ritual but I'm happy to see Dr. Morro releasing more stuff on the platform. #vrchat

I checked out my booth last night at Music Vket 6 in VRChat, I'm happy all the time spent working on jungle beats came to fruition.

You should check out Music Vket 6 if you're a fan of independent music, there's a lot of cool amateur artists showing off what they're working on.

I haven't seen too much from Lakuza's newest VRChat world Bullet Time Agent, but it's a crazy inventive world with unique game mechanics that I haven't seen in other worlds. I'd def recommend it if you have some time to spare.

Half Life Alyx is my most favourite game that I've ever played, I'd really recommend it.

I've thought about doing video essays about VRChat that are filmed in VRChat, but I'm waiting to buy a headset that can do face-tracking before getting serious with it. It feels a little offputting when mouth animations aren't synced up to your voice when getting footage in VRC.

The Winter Vket event this year has been great as usual, it's my favorite event to check out on VRChat. The Kohmi Hirose virtual concert was a highlight, I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

I was at the virtual VRChat convention Winter Vket 2023! I haven't seen everything yet, but the imagination of these crazy maps and user content keeps me coming back every time it rolls around. Definitely would recommend checking the event out before the maps disappear.

Pokopea Land is pretty based, would recommend

Someone imported Suika Game to VRChat, I'm pretty ass at dropping the fruits into each other but it was fun trying it out. I'd recommend checking the world out if you haven't played the watermelon game yet, it's definitely harder than it looks.

Yeah I guess I'll try filming a music video for a track I made, it should be a fun challenge getting one made in 23 days.

Having different contrasting styles is good though, it would be a lot more boring if either of their sounds homogenized into one or the other.

Oh that's pretty cool, I'm considering getting a low poly retro version of my owl avatar too once I have the money for it

My friends and I got together to finish the VRChat map Aether's Maw: The Leviathan's Trail by AltCentauri, the sky sailing mechanics were pretty innovative for a VRChat map. I'd recommend any friend group that has a free hour or two to check it out, it's one of my favorite Spookality 2023 releases.

An avatar displayer in VRChat

The VRChat world Avatar Museum 8 added a new avatar selector that makes it easy to filter through and load a bunch of Booth avatars through a convenient menu, this is a really cool feature that I hope we see more of in the future.

Getting started on VRChat isn't hard if you don't have social anxiety and aren't picky about the avatar that you use. Worlds like Furry Hideout or Furry Talk and Chill have furries you can talk to, but I think VRC is more fun when hanging out with friends. I can try helping if you have any questions

Today I found out how to connect Ableton to the Orion nightclub in VRChat! I still need to get used to the mixing controls with my Push 2 but I can see myself DJing at some random group public instances in the future.

This is definitely one of the craziest VRChat maps I've visited, it's called pokapoka-fantazumu tesuto999 by tanabe. I think it's supposed to be a parody of Vket?
