Never mind that the NHS is the ONLY place that trains docs! The private sector do not train, they just steal trained docs away.

Striking resident doctors like me are sick of being scapegoated You cannot run a healthcare system on goodwill alone. You cannot retain a workforce by devaluing it.

"The latest reports that training places could be restricted if strikes continue reveal something deeply troubling. Training, the very mechanism by which the NHS sustains itself, is being positioned as a bargaining chip."

Medicine can't be done on the cheap, cutting corners that risk patient safety.

Invest in the future of the NHS - back your resident doctors.

100%

The fact that some staff never earn as much as a new Dr doesn't mean Drs are overpaid, it means other staff are ALSO poorly paid, & Drs (even on day 1) have a lot more responsibility.

It's a disingenuous argument designed to create division - & it stinks.

After all they've given. For shame.

The corridor care scandal
The corridor care scandal YouTube video by Not the NHS Again

My mind's blown - it's not GP appointment access that drives waits in A&E; people are avoiding going to A&E because of corridor care concerns, meaning they delay going to get care, turn up at GPs (or walk in centres) when too ill to be there and go to A&E even sicker, and reluctantly.

Starmer gives doctors 48 hours to cancel strike or lose new jobs package The prime minister says the NHS could lose 1,000 extra training places if resident doctors go ahead with a six-day strike next week.

What a fantastic solution to the threat of reducing patient care for 6 days.

Let's instead reduce it for the foreseeable future.

Agreed. This so-called 'opting out' is often just desperation. People are being squeezed out because the underfunding has led to undercapacity.
