If its a nice day, Kew is looking gorgeous right now.
Potatoes!
A happy thought. Pope Leo is the first ever pontiff who is qualified to stand for President of the United States.
It did. I lived nearby, and every time I passed it I imagined it's being pronounced as a beagle bake.
Lumo trains are particularly bad. Not airport trains, but you might expect some travelers between London and Edinburgh to have more than a brief case.
Goodness, I knew they were now milder than when I was a child, but I didn't realise they were reverting to an earlier flavour. And yes, I am a fan.
I hand just finished planting my potatoes. An act of faith in the future......
The only party where that would be true!
What, as a Brit, I find odd is that the United States has a constitution carefully written to prevent any part of government becoming too powerful. Here we have no planned constitution. Like Topsy, our system 'just growed'. And yet we seem to be doing a better job of keeping our rulers in check.
Does she have rue? If not, I am sure she would love some. (It goes in Ethiopian coffee and is supposed to be very healthy)
Was he standing next to the Bunny at the time?
That would be a good reason NOT to close it down!
I might use this for our book club. They tend to the 'thoughtful' and'perceptive'.
And without getting your feet wet!
That's almost three rolls a week. Each! What can they be doing?
Makes no sense at all down here in Teddington, where the river runs N/S. We have to resort to boatrace-style Surrey/Middlesex stations.
What is it about?
I can meet friends in Richmond, take them up river to Kingston (boats with plenty of outside seating) and have lunch at the splendid Boaters Inn. One of my favourite things to do.
Filled my car at the local (SW London) Shell station this morning. The attendant said they had actually reduced their prices a little in the last couple of days. Odd.
And Carol singing. And Remembrance Day events. And Holi, unless you play in private.
Yes. It took time time for African users to get signed up to Twitter. And so far very few have moved over to services like BlueSky.
If Britain still has an aid programme left, wouldn't that be an excellant, targeted use of money? 2/2
This is heartbreakng. A simple drug which stops bleeding after childbirth costs $5 a dose. It could save an estimated 2,700 mothers a year from bleeding to death in Nigeria alone, and countless children frombeing orphaned, but it's still considered 'unaffordable'. 1/2
I don't think the artists would grudge you that.
It is also of course a parish church for the centre of town, and so my nephew and wife got married there. The wedding party, led by a piper, then trooped down the Royal Mile to the city chambers for the reception. A lovely day.
Absolutely true. Black handkerchiefs all my childhood, and a grandmother who spent large parts of every winter in bed with bronchitis.
Reading that President Trump has decided he DOES want British naval help after all.
Thinking of the old folk song: "He who does not when he may, shall not when he would."
Well done us....!
And well done to my friends in Accra for being the road safety leaders of the developing world.
That's brilliant. Well done to you (and to us, careful Londoners). Keep it up!
