When it comes to the animation world, there is something that brushed me the wrong way for the past decade and it's when people call an animator or an animation "bad" because it's not smooth like sakuga/anime ; vintage disney era.
All animations does not need to be smooth to be called "good".

Doll Doodle features!
Doodle is 46cm tall and her arms are 56cm long. They’re stuffed mostly with fabric scraps, giving him a somewhat weighted feel. They have magnets in her hands that let her clasp them together. He also has a small squeaker in his chest!

While I agree that we as creators should carry ourselves professionally and should steel ourselves for abuse and toxicity, it’s sad that being abused when you’re in the public eye is a guarantee and we’re scrutinized for being affected by it. We’re human, not your plaything. It’s so easy to be kind.
These are just some of the things I’ve had to deal with as a creator the past 2 years, but I wanted to highlight the weird energy that’s being put out there towards us. I will not be disclosing names or screencaps because I want to give them grace to reflect one day, heal, and do better.
She now uses a friend of hers in the Welcome Home community as a mouth piece to smear my reputation over… anything they can find that can be twisted. She even got ahold of a former VA attached to DAWM who was angry she was fired over pushing me to prioritize an issue she caused over my dying gran.
One fan sent me a narrative where Teddy SA’s their character and then got angry when I was reluctant to pour my time into their fan works. Mind you, she had known that I am traumatized by my own experiences and did not want to see that kind of content, but she chose to push my boundaries anyway.
I don’t know what’s up with fandom spaces these days that people are so casually abusive towards creators they apparently admire. I love my supporters but I’ve had to block some for going too far and being abusive, and they’re now running a constant smear campaign that’s been going on 2 years.
Gooseworx deserves better. Every artist out there doing their best to make content for you, available for free, while also doing their best to be decent people deserve better. We should not be treating creators and their works as public property.
