37 years ago today, 97 people went to a football match and never came home. Their families never got justice. We never forget. #JFT97 #LFC #YNWA

And again. I’d say it was shocking but it’s not shocking, just awful. #lfc
Too easy. Again. #lfc
He is to blame. What happened began on the training ground, with selection, with his shift in tactics, with his substitutions, with the way team morale is obviously so low. Yes, players’ form has been bad, but inspire them, train them or bench them, not dig your heels in.
It is all so predictable. Wasteful up front, sloppy at the back, concede a late goal… just not good enough. #lfc #ynwa
Alarm at 4.30am. Pub by 6am for this rubbish. Totally abject. #lfc
Not the result we wanted but still good being at Anfield. Now thawing at the Sandon
Reagan pushed extreme anti-regulation, anti-government, anti-society policies; he got rid of the Fairness Doctrine, which allowed RW talk radio, FoxNews. These were cornerstones of the current critical level of toxification of society. Oh and he ignored the AIDS crisis. He was a monster
What a shambles. It’s hard to believe from the normally totally efficient uncorruptible PL.
Every club has awful fans. Arsenal had Bin Laden and has Piers Morgan; Kim Jong Un is a big ManU fan and Jimmy Saville supported Spurs.
Thanks Duke. I come from Merseyside but live in the Los Angeles area and the fans LFC have here are true Reds too. We turn up to 4.30am games at the pub, we sing, we shout, we go crazy at last minute goals. We spend a fortune to make the pilgrimage to Anfield. We do it because we love the club.
We’re all laughing at the silly names and the daft images (and they *are* ridiculous) but should we be more worried that it has omitted LBJ, Carter, Clinton and Obama? That RW tech bros might be able to fix the mistakes but deliberately leave in the bias so it looks OK but is still bad history?
People who don’t have anxiety don’t understand how it can mess you up. I totally get it. Is the reception in a hotel? If so, get a room so you can step away and unwind somewhere private if you feel it become overwhelming. I’ve found having an escape plan often means I don’t end up needing it.
That's when the tears came.
Srsly, I seen people go from “why hasn’t it happened yet” this morning to panicking “OMG it’s not going to happen” then back again today. It’s a giant deal, w. many moving parts: that takes time. I worry for those fans’ blood pressures. Relax lads. #YNWA
Seems to be a great lad. Although he is a Dutch national, because he was at Man City academy for nine years, he counts as home-grown in the squad. Very useful for #LFC
Peacock (US) is UKP 6 per month for *most* games, but they don’t show big games. Those are not available streaming unless you have cable or pay for fubo. (Or get a free trial month of fubo. *cough*). Fortunately I watch most games at the pub. Unfortunately, that makes the 4.30am games really brutal
It is going to be a long long summer
(Not a lawyer but…) from my understanding attempted murder is harder to prove legally than GBH with intent, but both carry a maximum sentence of life. Better to get the conviction and argue for the higher sentence than risk an acquittal.
The top charge is GBH *with* intent, which usually carries a 3-16 year sentence but can go as high as a life sentence. Given the multiple victims, if convicted, you’d have to hope it’d be on the high end of the guidelines.
For those worried about no news about Kerkez, Frimpong or Wertz, just remember how #LFC managed the Fabinho transfer. No hints beforehand, just ‘hey guys, here’s your new DM,’ and the pics of him signing. It’s how they prefer to work. Deep breaths…
My point is that just because Saudi clubs wave the cash it doesn’t mean Diaz or any other player will say yes. After that 1st wave of signings a few years ago, a lot of players can see the downsides to the Saudi league. No PL. No UCL. No Anfield. No giant parade. Money isn’t everything to everyone
Yes, I have seen every game LFC have played (some more than once) thanks for asking. I agree we want to keep Diaz. He has been an important player - usually good and often fantastic.
We sang the Arne Bounce song so much Sunday it got stuck in my head. Today, finally, it’s gone! …To be replaced by ‘Liverbird on my Chest’ as today’s earworm. I guess it could be worse… #YNWA #LFC
Saudi clubs have been interested in other #LFC players, not least Salah. It doesn’t mean it’ll be reciprocated.
This is how LFC operates: quietly, efficiently, as under-the-radar as they can manage. There’ll be a lot to discuss with Bayer and Wirtz, and the window isn’t even open yet. I don’t think a lack of “news” is anything to worry about yet.
