An extraordinary man. I recall seeing many of his distinctive artworks in the stacks at Southampton City Art Gallery. Here he is, reunited with the former Diana Fluck, in an unsettling appearance on the Parkinson show www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8gp....

Fun fact that lying UK journalistic hacks won’t tell you because they hate Labour: Boris Johnson did not pass vetting when Theresa May appointed him Foreign Secretary. #UKPolitics

Thank you Flavie - I was unaware of the Terrinoni edition. I look forward to this new French translation. Do you happen to know what English version it's based upon?

Surprised to learn there has never been a bilingual Ulysses before! I wonder which version of the original forms the basis for this new translation. (It's a contentious issue.)

Not once in the 80s, 90s or 00s do I recall a politician urging the public to embrace email, mobile phones, texting, two factor authentication, online banking, air fryers, or to replace all their cassette collection with a CD collection.

So forgive me if I smell a rat.

Today marks the 380th anniversary of the bloody Battle of Culloden, so you should watch Peter Watkins' 1964 docu-drama: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1TZ... Few broadcasts over the past sixty years can match the impact of this.

Private Eye's veteran sports journalist E. I. Addio regularly refers to 'one-legged netminder Wally Foot' of Neasden F.C., an under-performing club in the North Circular Relegation League led by ashen-faced manager Ron Knee and supported by loyal fans (Sid and Doris Bonkers).
