Happy Birthday to a fantastic TTRPG performer/player ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐

"Churn" is the magic word of the day, so you get rewarded with hot Amos pics.
Best Star Trek Crew. Wrong answers only.
You would think with the holodecks right there, Starfleet officers could get their need for war crimes safely out of their systems, but sadly like Pon Farr there is no substitute for the real thing.
Though have they tried Mecha? Mechs are made for war crimes. ๐ค
If set in the 32nd Century steal the idea of Babylon 5 a station set in neutral territory were diplomats (former Federation, rising powers, Federation, etc.), merchants, travelers, and wanderers can interact, navigate, and negotiate. Put Saru and T'Rina in authority positions-fans like them!
Currently, the time span when The Enterprises B and C were in service is referred to as "The Lost Era." What are we calling the centuries between G and Discovery's arrival in the 32nd Century?
#AskTrekCulture
This fits in perfectly for my pitch: 32nd Century Star Trek needs its own version of Babylon 5. A space station in neutral territory for diplomacy & trade with former Federation members and new/raising powers. A place for Travelers, seekers, and refugees. A place for Captain-Ambassador Saru.
Star Trek: Wagon Train to the Stars was too long a title I am glad they shortened it
What makes Star Trek-Star Trek is the idea that if everyone is trying their best while actively helping others do the same, we get The Federation
Section 31 says we need 90+% of people to believe and we need people in the rafters, wings, and basement out of sight, getting dirty working the levers
Hopefully, it will include some Imp appreciation content. An underrepresented mech in the fiction and on the tabletop.
Wait a minute! Checks the date...oh ๐ซค, never mind.
That sounds like fun
I think every Star Trek has to answer the question of why does the Quadrant(s) need The Federation? The War College I see as part of both Discovery and Academy's answer. Without it, we go back to focusing on winning wars, not building peace.
Canceling this show in addition to the loss of Star Trek stories is also a loss of opportunity for all the performers as extras or 1 ep characters to be on and learn on the set of a modern TV series and experience acting in/under prosthetics. See-Cetacean Ops and all the aliens in the background
My biggest takeaway from the series is that Star Trek still hasn't figured out how to adapt itself to the shorter seasons of TV shows, and this show suffers for it.
Would you prefer a Starfleet Academy Summer Vacation Stories series of novels/novellas, graphic novels, or comics?
Yes, the 1st one should be about Reno โค๏ธ Thok, I agree.
It would be/have been interesting to find out that Nus had assembled an anti-Federation coalition to create/deploy the mines.
I would have liked fewer mines and more linked sensor bouys
The big red bubble imagery is a Down.
Praise for the Containment over Conflict concept very Sisko
What are Moon's dreams like? Do Moon's people engage in collective/cooperative dreaming? If so, does she miss it?
Does Ship dream? If yes, what are they like?
Asking for a PC of mine
And the smartest. Containment over Conflict is how you handle an expansionistic endurance empire. I think he has been reading Sisko biographies-he mined to wormhole to bottle up The Dominion. Learn from, adapt to your situation, and use your enemy's tactics against them. ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐
Yes well it could have been. I argue that every Star Trek has to answer the question of why does the Quadrant need The Federation? This show should have had the easiest answer
I did a rewatch a few years ago and skipped over most of The Temporal Cold War stuff, and enjoyed the series so much more.
Containment over conflict. Demonstration and deterrent over destruction to both sides. Someone has been reading Sisko biographies and learned what to do in the face of an expansionistic threat.
Learn from and adapt your enemy's tactics, very impressive Nus Braka. ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐
The number of people in this country with Apocalypse Blue Balls is terrifying, boys who are waiting for the day when bullets, bravado, and booze define a hero like generations of media (fic&nonfic) and messaging has been promising.
I have Down, everyone knows TTRPGs, not theater, are the best way to get people to confront and deal with their trauma. Why weren't they playing Bat'leths & BiHnuchs? So many centuries so many expansions. Tilly as GM, think about it.
So many more pieces to puzzle together
Stop Dilithium flow
Steal from research station
Transportation is power
Caleb's mom has an affinity for physics
It is very hard to teach beings that are both non-corporeal and non-temporal how to make a proper roux, but Sisko is determined
It reminded me of my thought that Caleb has young Curzon vibes that I got from the last episode during the debate
It struck me during the debate Caleb Mir is the young Curzon Dax we never got to see.A character type the post Burn Federation needs.Which is why I am betting Caleb ends up in some kind of explorer+diplomatic Corp by the end of the series, with the mission to Seek Out New Life and New Civilizations
