This round table aims to explore the pathways and practices involved in translating rigorous political science research into compelling narratives for public consumption. Participants will cover the process of publishing within the trade press as opposed to academic outlets, audience engagement strategies, and the potential for a broader impact that this sort of work can achieve in more publicly accessible formats.

βIn reality, the only accountability mechanism is that we agree to turn out and that we agree to chime in, right? And so if we choose, when we're talking about primaries, 15, 12% turnout, we are not keeping our end of the bargain.β
I loved teaching Intro to AFAM this semester. I asked these 2Qs and the answers were great! I got a little emotional on their answers to Q1:
1. What is one thing you learned from this course that will stick with you?
2. Who is your top Artist on Spotify/Apple Music in 2023?
"Andrea Benjamin, a professor at the University of Oklahoma who studies race, politics, local elections and voting behavior, said itβs possible that with a re-do of the primary looming, voters in Bridgeport are experiencing fatigue."

βItβs the intersection of those stereotypes,β says Andrea Benjamin, an expert on urban politics at the University of Oklahoma. βBecause itβs a Black woman, you think theyβre aggressive or angry all the time. They canβt win.β

Whenever I hear Claire McCaskill, I think about the time I was on BBC News and the other guest blurted out: Claire McCaskill is a radical leftist! π³π
