Kendrick Lamar walking across superbowl stage surrounded by dancers in white on the left and dancers in blue on the right. Lamar is wearing blue jeans and a leather varsity style jacket with blue and red and white. He's wearing a baseball cap backwards. He's wearing a dark shirt underneath and holding a microphone. His grin is diabolical.
If I send this to you know that I'm embracing my villain era.
"Who did the body?"
Tell em Kendrick did it

- this time a country built with so many voices and with the concept of collective freedom joyfully embedded.
I believe our beliefs are stronger in every way than the hollowness of aching greed.
I believe the stories they will tell of us will not be about one hero but about the mighty ocean of us that created a glorious tide.
I believe the 250th anniversary of our country in 2027 is when we will found this country anew-
I believe this will change us, is changing us. Making us stronger in our ideals and values.
I believe even while having bouts of true fear, we grow braver each day.
I believe our great great grandchildren are watching us.
I believe this is a test for us to show who we are in every small decision we make that leads to massive change.
I believe no one wants to be controlled.
I believe there are brilliant people, values-driven people, embedded across the political spectrum who are not ok with what is happening.
I believe anger eats the angry.
I believe angry policy burns the policymakers.
I believe chaos begets chaos - unraveling itself instead of building.
I believe we are built to survive because our ancestors’ DNA sparks inside us.
A poem thread called:
I Believe in You and I Believe in Me and I Believe We Were Built for This.
I believe in karma.
I believe political and cultural pendulums will always swing.
Wait for it. Work for it.
I believe people want to live peaceful lives surrounded by love and opportunity.
I am working with colleagues to develop a sharable resource for education leaders about how to respond to immigration efforts in schools. If you work for or in a school district that has put out public resources (especially protocols like this one drive.google.com/file/d/1zMId... ) please share!
RESIST! What to do if ICE agents show up at your door. Thanks @aclu.org !

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.
With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.
You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.
