Outside does take a bit of getting used to - but what doesn't?? So damp.
The real moment of truth is the bottom of the ballot: would you rather be represented by the independent racist or a party of racists? Pro-life Sinners, or a delusional paranoiac?
I am quite, quite excited to be bringing these guys back to Dublin and literally everyone should go because everyone should experience a Necks show at least several times. Thursday 15th May in The Sugar Club!

At Grand Social on Saturday night, Califone opened with a spellbinding version of "(Red)"...stretched-out, dubbed, like a country-blues Can. Just stunning.
It seems that everyone Joni Mitchell knew in the seventies spoke in perfect flow and rhythm.
I imagine it closely tracks the growth of the B format paperback...you could look at when imprints like Picador were launched (1972, it appears).
Reminds me of the invention of the equally meaningless term "world music" as a way of staking out space in record shops, although that one literally was the work of four people in a (doubtless) smoke-filled room.

Not to mention Le Guess Who coming up fast in November…
Tad and Whipping Boy for sure, don’t remember who else I saw there. Pains me every time I walk past that building to see it in that state.

Vicar Street is about as large a venue as I'd be bothered going to, and I don't foresee ever crossing the threshold of this proposed 2,000 capacity barn. Like the sound of the 250 seat venue around the corner though.
