Today was the first day of Monte Verita Quantum Codes (MVQC) with a great mix of talks and participants across theory & experiment, CV & DV.
Thanks to all the speakers and participants and thanks to our sponsors for making this possible!

I'm hiring a postdoc! If you'd like to work with me on quantum learning, error correction, quantum algorithms, and FTQC at Virginia Tech in the Washington, DC metro area, please apply here: careers.pageuppeople.com/968/cw/en-us...
Congrats @csenrui.bsky.social !!!
New linear programming bounds for QECCs! If I read the results correctly this is vastly general and includes all physically realized codes for CV systems.

Thanks!
Happy to announce that I just moved to Lausanne to work at EPFL in the new group headed by Thomas Vidick!
Going skiing on the first day after a move definitely makes for a fun start. :)
also happy to get in the loop! ;)

Thanks to @vva.bsky.social @ansgarburchards.bsky.social and Joe Iosue for this fun collaboration!
Happy holidays everybody! If you get bored feasting or need to take a rest from rewatching Home Alone for the 20th time -- here a little paper from us: arxiv.org/abs/2412.17909 .
We show that GKP codes form CV 2-designs and how to use this to design class. shadow protocols.
I’d imagine every send that is not flashed would now be post-selected….sounds pretty harsh
Congrats to Brenner, Caha, Coiteux-Roy and Koenig for this fantastic result! (4/4)

I am no expert here but for a theorist this reads like you could just go and try building this? What do the actual physicists think? @zlatko-minev.bsky.social @andreasateth.bsky.social
