Man, this reminds me, I am finally going through the post-Shadowbringers MSQ.
I got to the Ruby Weapon fight this weekend and had the exact same experience as you did in this clip (just with the in-game chat instead of twitch chat) lmao:

@beyondthemachina.bsky.social has some really cool Quiver pieces
I'd say it's perfectly reasonable to not play a board wipe if you don't have a solid follow-up to break the symmetry, or if someone else can rebuild better. If wiping puts a different player ahead then there's no real benefit to casting it. Better a game 2 than stretching out a losing position.
The green card for me is probably Veteran Explorer. I love it in Commander because it's a fun way to start the politics early on by trying to get someone to kill it.
ayyy happy birthday!!!
Thanks for being such a dedicated cheerleader for folks in the community.
this fucking sucks, I am so sorry you had to go through that
It wasn't in the suitcase until you asked other people about it. Happens to me all the time.
Happy birthday!!!!
Hell yeah!!!! Congrats!!!!
Do you have any travel rituals? Like always trying a different local beer at your destination or a playlist you listen to when flying?
have fun! give everyone my best and one random person my worst
I think they really learned from the constructive criticisms of S1. Usopp and Zoro's characterization especially. In S1 Usopp got kind of sidelined in his own arc and Zoro was too stoic, but here Usopp shines in every episode and we get to see Zoro flustered, frustrated, and humorous.
Koby's interpretation of them as an anti-pirate peacekeeping force isn't meritless.
But when we see them used as a military arm of the World Government, that starts to change. Their crimes are kept secret from the world thanks to propaganda until we see ones directly involving Straw Hats.
Honestly? Yeah.
ACAB applies to Marines but a lot of the Marines in the series are personable and have as much integrity as the Straw Hats, they (and the viewer) don't understand the scale of the horrors they're perpetuating. It makes the inevitable conflicts with them that much more interesting.
Incorporating all this stuff is my favorite part of the live action. Not only do they get to continue using their fantastic cast, it expands the world in neat ways and even gives one kind of flat character some extra depth in an upcoming episode.
I wonder if the condensed anime will do it too.
Just wrapped season 2 of the One Piece live action. Great stuff. Casting department keeps knocking it out of the park, and the changes to the show make the threats feel more cohesive. Lots of nods for longtime fans.
Also has the most lit and readable night scenes of anything in the last 10 years.
Do we need a local person to tell you where to eat and not eat for @shoebox.gg in Saint Paul, MN this week?
Fine. Let’s go 1/x
Happy birthday!!!!
I haven't ran into that but I guess it's an inevitable extension of the "trailer before the trailer" trend movies have been doing for the past couple of years that I absolutely loathe
how is Penelope enjoying Tau Ceti?
It's also Marathon day! I love it when multiple cultural celebrations line up.
Forbes and I seem to have very different colloquial definitions of "soak"
I'm not sure; I do the have a soft spot for M15 and Origins though, and remember liking M19-M21, but I haven't played M10-14 at all.
You should at least do it for 2010 and newer, as those all have unique cards in them instead of being strictly reprint sets.
I used Factor for almost a year and it was so convenient but I switched to Cook Unity when Factor's menu got a little stale and I had a few too many order issues and I never looked back. They're what I've used for almost 4 years now. If y'all want to check them out let me know.
divine inspiration hit the second I read your post
