SCoPEd is predominantly to improve employability and overhaul the outdated IAPT system so that clients have a better NHS experience and are less likely to go to someone that has started a private practice after doing a £29 Groupon course in counselling that is claiming to be a trained therapist.

That just about sums it up (and no, Reform won't give you that but, sadly, neither will Labour these days!!)

Yep, got that old '70s/80s feel to them 🙂

Finally Reform finds a migrant it wants to house.

They said they were going to give the members a vote as BACP weren't prepared to, which saw mass exodus from BACP to NCS as they were back then, as therapists assumed the vote would go their way but it didn't. Hence NCS announced they would adopt it and they added the P to incorporate Psychotherapy

Yes but it should never have been a choice for the public to make. Politicians are literally paid to do that with a deeper understanding than the average UK citizen.

Sadly, I can't take him seriously as all I ever remember about him is how he turned up drunk as 1 of our guest lecturers in uni and sat there telling us it was absolutely fine to plagiarise as everyone does it and that if a first draft of anything isn't good enough, it should be confined to the bin.

Is this going to be another OJ? I mean, how can they possibly find a jury that won't know who P Diddy is?! 🤔

I can imagine that was a relief! 😳

So did my great-uncle, Russell. When the loco works officially closed, the workers etched their initials on the building as a lasting memory of what once was.

I remember her guest lecturing on my degree course. It was one of my favourite days in class; I was so awestruck. She was so lovely though. I might not have used my degree much but I gained such a depth of cultural experience 🙂

I live next to a river. The amount of rats we see nowadays is at least 10x as many as when we moved in 15 years ago, if not more. There are 3 or 4 times when the sewage gets added (the smell is horrendous and the water in the taps has an oily consistency).

Let's stand with the workers facing pay cuts.

Let's stand with the Trans community who's rights are under attack.

Let's stand with the disabled loosing their financial lifeline PIP.

Let's stand with Palestine facing ethnic cleansing.

Let us stand together.

Solidarity ✊

The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom. It really gave me pause for thought about how we should be mindful of how our attitudes, the way we approach life and even the most miniscule of actions can have such rippling consequences. Never take anything for granted. Absolutely beautiful book

Probably because more and more people are stopping watching/reading the news these days. It's not like anything good ever happens 🤷‍♀️

That freaked me out for ages. I was just talking about it with my clinical supervisor the other day.

I'm sure it must be possible for us all to have shared dreams/nightmares because I was plagued by a particular nightmare as a young child. I'd kind of forgotten about it, but then I was watching a kids' horror movie called The Hole with my son and the character's fear was EXACTLY my nightmare!

I'm also wondering why it is you rented an office near the traffic lights at the top of Winter Hey Lane in Horwich which you plastered your face all over but then very conveniently vacated the minute you got elected... any response??

@philbrickellmp.bsky.social Still no response to the cuts in disability benefits that will see some of the poorest in our local community live much further below the poverty line than they currently do (btw Bolton has the highest male suicide rate in the UK so you SHOULD be taking note as their MP!)

Did it look like that in your mind's eye though?

They've been corrupt for at least 15 years, if not longer. The council asking questions isn't going to make a difference. We all know what goes on ... 🙄🤦‍♀️
