This is Mx. New Bark reminding you that you're only a nobody until somebody loves you, and that somebody; is me.
I love you. /platonic
Now until I get the drive to write some more, have a little ditty from the turn of the century. An Ode to the Typhoon God, Lugia's Song, remixed by Mewmore.

Feel like this community needs to communicate more, especially when it comes to events.
Seeing some uncomfy, others worried if the ship and chem they built is over, it isn't healthy.
Talk, don't bottle it up.
You will regret it more if you let it eat at you till you burst.
βLOCATION CONFIRMED! RELAYING INFORMATION TO SYSTEM MAINFRAME! REQUESTING BACKUP IF ACCEPTABLE...β
Then, from a distance, it would begin to track its quarry; Reina, along with her newer Ultra Beast companion. It was just waiting for the right opportunity to strike...
Somewhere, deep within the reaches of the collective realms known as Ultra Space, something did, indeed, pick up on that series of energy spikes.
With an audible 'PING-!', a Porygon2 activates somewhere in the ether, activating its all-range sensors and calculating possible destinations.

βMaybe.β
Maris was quick to respond, mostly to shoot down the idea and give Sayori a false sense of hope. Unless of course mother forced her to show Sayori at some point anyway, which was...
Unfortunately likely.
βUm. What exactly... are you. Mother hasn't told me your DNA specifications.β
βweren't from the city. Heavy-handed doesn't even begin to explain the inner city government...β
With a slide, and a click, the door unlocks. The professor holds it open for Cedar, offering a little smile.
βOther regions have it easy. But here... we do what we can.β
βWelcome to Vega, Ms. Cedar.β
βQuite the quiet place, I'm sure you'll find. But we are between two of the Megalopolises, if that's more your speed. Fair word of warning, though-β
She lowers her voice a touch, turning to Cedar once they come across the lab's front door.
βThere's ample reason I was relieved to learn youβ

If I had a nickel for every time I've fallen asleep when trying to take a short nap in the last while, I'd be sleeping in a bed of nickels.

How u know? /silly
M : βWell, Sayori? Want to go for a quick walk?β
The question was about as genuine as her smile. It may have reached Sayori's ears, but the smile didn't reach Maris's at all.
M : βWe're going anyway. Mother likely has work to do. Come on.β
Maris sighs.
She was already exasperated with Sayori, and it'd only been seconds...
βAh, here's a thought- Maris? Would you kindly show Sayori to the dormitories? She'll be staying in the same block as you, Room 492.β
M : β...of course, mother.β
Maris responds, words sickly sweet. Poisonous.
γ
M : βWh- I- I don't like touching-β
Maris protests, before giving Sayori the most mechanical, palpably awkward pat on the back. She wasn't quite sure how else to respond to this gesture...
M : βThere. Happy, now?β
Cordelia snorts, causing Maris to give Sayori a little squeeze.
M : β...'sister'?β
There was a long beat of silence between the three while Sayori just... stood there, staring.
Once she lunges at the raven haired girl, she barely has a moment to flinch as Sayori flings her arms around her, stammering and shifting around in the other's grip.
Either to escape, or reciprocate.
γ
M : βS- sister..?!β
There's a little huff. Was she really so lacking, that a HUMAN would be considered her equal?
βMaris, come now. Introduce yourself PROPERLY.β
M : βEh- right. I'm... I'm Maris. Your new... hhf... 'sister'.β
...suddenly, there's this... odd feeling of pressure from nearby. Like someone's stare was boring into them from right behind.
??? : β...mother.β
A monotone, vocal-fried voice calls out.
βAh, Maris, my darling! Perfect timing~! This is Sayori. Your new sister. Treat her well, would you?β
γ
βBut of course, dear. We'll explore to your heart's desire. The world is your oyster, after all~...β
Such was a lie.
Sayori's world was now far more confined than ever. A leash keeping her here, in this alternate, futuristic reality.
With her.

βOnce I've got you properly situated, why don't we take a day to show you around outside? I don't expect you to want to stay indoors your whole stay with us, after all.β
Cordelia smiles at Sayori. Something... genuine enough to pass.
βEVERY-β
Cordelia's words hitch as she's tugged toward the window, chuckling at the excitement.
β-single one, dear~. City 3 just happens to be relatively far from the rest of the Megalopolises. But that makes it no less impressive~! Ambient Z-Power is turned into energy. Clean and efficient.β
γ
βthe Megalopolises of the Vega Region? Because you're looking at one~! Specifically, this is City 3. Nice and easy to remember, no?β
βToo right, dear. Run along now! I'm sure we'll see you later on.β
Cordelia gently tugs Sayori along, finally reaching a hall with windows. Outside was... honestly quite beautiful. A city of sorts, though they were on the outskirts, made of chrome and reflective glass.
βAre you familiar withβ
γ
[βOh, just dandy! Another day of working for my favorite company...β]
Tinker Tuff is quick to haul hammer, stammering an excuse as she waddles by Sayori.
[βS- sorry! We can catch up later, I should really take a look at those schematics before I forget, right, Cordie?β]
γ
[βEr, h-hey, Sayori! Finally up and about after your procedure, h-huh?β]
The bravado is quick to put itself up again. Thankfully, Cordelia didn't think much of it.
βAh, perfect timing! Sayori, you remember this Tinkaton, yes~?β
βThat's a good girl. Come along, now. Let's introduce you to some important faces, and get you reacquainted with some of them.β
As if on cue, a certain Tinkaton shows up, wearing that recognizable translator collar.
[βCordie, there you are! I've been-β]
She freezes. Was that... oh, no.
