Looove this, thank you!!!
Hey--do you have properly proportioned 11x17 dimensions for a 6.625 x 10.25 trim? I'm recommending 10 x 15.375 as the trim for original art, but if there are more accurate dimensions, I'd love em.
If you whisper "onions have layers, ogres have layers" five times, Dark Shrek will appear behind you and whisper "donkaayyyy" in your ear

I gotta start taking more selfies with people, I think it may be 1/3 of self promotion.
A graphic novel called "Death Strikes: The Emperor of Atlantis". The image shows a walled city with a light coming from a tower in the centre, behind which is the face of Death himself.
This graphic novel by @maassive.bsky.social and @plutarian2.bsky.social, based on a chamber opera written in a concentration camp, is terrific: a surreal story of defiance in the face of totalitarianism, told with wit and heart.
Thank you for coming and all of your rigorous attention to the work! We were hearing about your Thursday panel over and over!

@plutarian2.bsky.social and I are supremely grateful to Andy Konopak, Hannah Benson and Alice Del Simone for lending their voices and passion to our panel.
I'm waiting to board for #sdcc and here's the thing: Godzilla in Minus One is not a metaphor for survivors guilt. That's the straight up text of the movie. The metaphor is self-annihilation, particularly militarized self-annihilation. I'm tired.
One of the things no one tells you in undergrad is eventually "research" becomes reading a thousand things you already know on the chance there's something in there you don't.
First of all: that is wild as hell.
Some of us just aren't built for a single thing all the time and more people drop out chasing this impossible standard, because it's all "I need a unified voice" until you need something NOW and then a competent voice will do, you know?
Universal is the wrong word, but like......widespread.
This frustration is so universal: I saw an art director saying that a portfolio with more then 2 styles is "underdeveloped" and that is so at odds with everyone I know who has the capacity to be a lifelong artist. That desire to unfold yourself in different ways keeps you going over a lifetime!!
Catch @maassive.bsky.social and I on Friday from 12p-12:50, signing Death Strikes and being charming!

I'm pleased to announce that I will be teaching Comics & Narrative Practice full-time at Columbus College of Art & Design. The Comic program here is incredible, built w/care & passion by @laurennmcc.bsky.social and stewarded by equally passionate faculty. Most importantly; our students are the best.
In 2010 I posted "Judy Dench would kick your ass for a nickel" through Facebook for Zune and that's basically primary source now, you know?
Rose City Comic Con is doing an affiliate link program this year. Every time someone buys RCCC tickets from my link, the Hero Initiative gets $5!
