Came across an old personal animation from 2022 where I tried my hand at first-person full body, since I had never done it before, using a Samus rig

One more test! For this one I was told to do a series of combat motions that matched the style of some reference that I was provided
I remember working on this test while I was crunching in the final weeks to ship another game. For this one, I had to have the character eat something in an interesting way that made sense based on their design and what little I knew of the game.
I think this is one of the oldest tests I found, and it had the shortest deadline to complete. Prompt was to animate a creature jumping up onto a box. I tried to make time to add a character moment on the end after they finished jumping up
For this next one, I had to animate a little attack with a bit of personality in isometric
This test was unique in that there was a feedback pass where I was told to quickly block in some revisions (in stepped). I have since incorporated this into anim tests that I've given when hiring animators
For this test I had to animate an emote. Ironically, while I did not get this job, I have since animated dozens of emotes on Spirit Crossing
Been doing some file management cleanup and came across a bunch of old animation tests from various job interviews from several (5+) years back now. These were done under various time constraints, but completed fairly quickly
I won't say who each one was for, but figured it'd be worth sharing π§΅

collage of papers, pamphlets, postcards, patches, and pins from various travel destinations on the west coast arranged on the floor
Went on a road trip up the west coast the other month, and I am now finally going through and posting my spoils from my many visitor center raids
This infuriating attitude shows up on the bookshelves in learning environments, too. We expect girls to empathize with boys, but we kneecap every opportunity to let boys empathize with girls. And look where we are.
HOUSTON (AP) β Artemis IIβs astronauts return to Earth, ending a record-breaking trip around the moon with a splashdown in the Pacific.
View of the earth from Artemis II, with the earth mostly covered in shadow and surrounded by black; but with a growing crescent of blue oceans and swirling white clouds
Happy re-entry day everyone
I'm begging the "it's a distraction" crew to understand that Trump is just bad and evil at lots of things at the same time.

Enjoying this game dev to NASA pipeline moment that we're all experiencing together live right now

If the world makes it out of this, and is no longer beholden to the whims of a mad man, it's time to start pushing again for disarmament
Unfortunately, no one is going to convince anyone to pack it in all at once, but a little bit at a time, steadily over time, is possible
Spectacular images taken by the Artemis II crew of earthset and the eclipse. Just incredible. NASA posts them here and itβs free to access: images.nasa.gov

Y'all there is a woman and a black man circling the moon and NASA's mission control+ science teams are so diverse and people are nerding out about science and exploration this is all a gigantic middle finger to the stupid and hate and grotesque ghouls running our country
A few have suggested that some aspects of this mission--joy, international teamwork, diversity--are being played up to stick it to the hateful attitude of the administration. But I don't think it's that. I think it's just that those things are essential to and inseparable from a mission like this.
Got an email from Adobe saying that they were nearly doubling the cost of my creative cloud subscriptions and adding a bunch of Gen AI dogshit I didn't ask for!
If you don't want to get charged you have to log in and downgrade to a "standard" plan that's just the fuckin apps.
I know ALL of the best video game animation released in 2025, and now you can too

This is so, so well-articulated.

Anyways, I'm glad Sailor Moon girls are in charge

Like a lot of people, I've had NASA's Artemis II stream playing in the background today, and I cannot stop thinking about HIM
Favorite shots from todayβs brilliant launch! History in the making!
