No. I’m not worried about AI garbage art replacing garbage art.
But I don’t think it’s a given that non-creatives using AI will only produce low-quality work. But I believe art imbued with authentic human experience should be more sublime.
Ultimately, the market will settle this debate.
It’s not creatives using AI that gives me pause—it’s the non-creatives, those who don’t understand craft, thinking, “I can do that with ChatGPT!”
I feel about TikTok the same way I feel about sports fandom—enjoy it for what it is, but remember you have no control over it, you didn’t shape it, and it’s only as important as you choose to make it.
