Our youth are our future! I joined RCSD students, including from my alma mater of SOTA, participating in Project Soapbox, a program focused on developing communication skills and allowing members to showcase issues important to the community. A great job from everyone!

Met with Coach USA representatives to discuss key issues affecting New York’s charter bus industry, including safety measures and adequate funding for reliable roads. As Transportation Chair, I’m always happy to support efforts that strengthen the industry and keep passengers safe.

Always grateful for an opportunity to talk with New York's firefighters! Thanks to Rochester Firefighters Local 1071 meeting with me in Albany to ensure your hardworking members receive the resources they deserve.

Poverty rates, especially child-poverty rates, are far too high across New York State. I met with leaders from RMAPI on why it's crucial to continue our work ensuring access to quality care, economic opportunities, and housing, to uplift our community members out of poverty.

Fortunate to have the great leadership of Jordan Health's CEO, Dr. Clark, in Albany advocating for access to high quality healthcare for people of all backgrounds.

Yesterday, nearly 50 of my colleagues and I in the state legislature signed on to a national statement to demand that ICE leave Minnesota and to call for justice for Renee Good and Alex Pretti.

Our region is fortunate to be home to three quality community colleges. This morning, my #ROC colleagues and I met with leaders from @MonroeCC, @flcc_connects, and @sunygcc
to continue our shared work to support the future and success of our students and faculty.

Transportation is the great equalizer to connect New Yorkers from all over our state.
