Academic sheep? There was a time when the most called number (pre internet) from the University of Sheffield was the then Cole Brothers (John Lewis)
I have a tendency to ETTA but years of travelling with children has only cemented the view. You really don't want to be running around finding your gate (children now adults - they can make their own choice!!)
Did they realise they were being so closely watched??
I'm with General Sternwood in the conservatory - where's the butler??

Gnocchi..made from cheese?? Call a doctor surely?
I read once that in the 19th century you needed to save 25% of your entire income if you wanted to retire..at all (#WelfareState?)
Have you had the 'two legs in one leg hole' yet...the confusion.. also 'banana feet'- shoes on the wrong way around
If they eat that much now, I think you need to be prepared for the future...pasta and bread for the win etc...
Are you also prepared for the number of calories they might need to keep going??
I once had a Greek workman in the house who was frankly astounded I could (all by myself aged about 40) put batteries in a torch- the right way around and everything....
Exactly butter is not just butter..cooking butter ,salted butter seasalted butter etc etc. At minimum you need eating butter and cooking butter ๐
It just keeps happening.. sometime during Brexit, I had to sit down, I was agreeing with Norman Fowler. It's so odd.
May he have many more! ๐
Not self employed but if you live overseas HMRC won't let you file online unless you pay a third party, yet every single time you open the website, it says 'Have you thought of submitting your return online?' It's infuriating
Darn, only half the reply. Teaching hospital and lastly...Good schools! Posh bit essentially.
That part of Sheffield is known to be popular with academics and teaching ho
Can confirm that Dobcroft Road is well hilly. And the cards in the picture frames, gambling too surely? (Kitchen looks mid 1980s - my mother had one that colour)
I managed that by size when my sons were small (four years between them). Including my beloved, there are now usually 2 sometimes 3 adult men in the house who wear similar sizes (one is slightly thinner, one has larger feet etc), all three are pretty much the same size.
Yes, demise of the Thatcher years. But it all came back weirdly, during Brexit (I found myself agreeing with Norman Fowler - that was very odd..)

I hope G'ma enjoys and doesn't get cold!
Absolutely, good luck and Happy Easter!
Yes. We have no 1 who son offered to host tonight so we will all be there - but he's more than 30, so is 'proper used to adulting'
*I am trying to decide if Easter Sunday deserves a cake baked for the occasion. We are not a Christian household so it would be purely seasonal. (And not Simnel!)
Only just seen this - could you out all the children, and their mess, in a bedroom and shut the door??
We live overseas - if it has value, we give to charity. It we don't think it has any value we put it out on the street for 24 hours before we throw it away (clothes excepted, clearly). Usually it disappears...Freecycle exists here a bit, but I don't like the advertising to strangers bit.
I hope someone has checked that the chest freezer is not being used as an outer sarcophagus...there is a strong commitment to Egyptology there.
