"Musha Colonel" (Samurai Colonel) — a KFC Japan tradition since 1984 for Children's Day — sees Colonel Sanders statues in samurai armour handcrafted by store employees from recycled cardboard and paper. A record 1,218 stores compete in this year's contest.
