and if you enjoyed the short WNYC talk, maybe you'll enjoy this longer one with @sktchd.bsky.social in which I'm slightly less composed and spend far too long talking about how all kids have dirty buttholes. whoops! (this is on youtube as well if you prefer video)

Just finished reading this. I cried!!!! Really great and thoughtful insights about parenthood.. a lot of panels gave me feelings of great relief, thinking “thank God I’m not the only one who does this.” Definitely will be reading this one over and over.

Social-Media Advertisements vs. Reality: Postpartum-Clothes Edition Many people are eager to warn you of the body horrors caused by pregnancy, but no one tells you what’s going to happen in the months (maybe years?!) after birth.

I got sick of all the pregnancy and postpartum content that start how this comic does but ended by telling me I should love my body bc the miracle of birth and blah blah blah, so I made this. It's an excerpt from Bury Me Already (It's Nice Down Here)

My “love-language” is borderline negging, but from a place of affection. It is not a recommended language for those who take themselves seriously. I fully understand that I am a ridiculous person, and I expect my loved ones to treat me accordingly

Julia's last book made me realize I had been functioning through lowgrade depression for a number of years (complimentary).

One of my favorite then/now from Tenements, Towers & Trash because not much has really changed? The 1910 one has broadway show posters, coke ads, clothing shops and food in the storefronts. 2015 is basically the same (conceptually) except no food shops, and everything is uglier
