While I want to believe quality matters at least a bit, it is just one factor. I've played many AMAZING games just to see the review count on Steam say less than 10. I've also played games with thousands of reviews that played like shovelware. There are patterns for success, but there is no recipe

Writer's block is real in that the feeling of being blocked from writing exists, but it exists in any creative field, and many non-creative ones as well. When a (short!) break doesn't work, the only solution is to put on your big girl pants and make yourself do it. AI is never the answer for this

Yeah, indie games should remain indie, and thus cannot "take over" the AAA sector. Otherwise, they risk no longer being indie (by all definitions, I believe)
