Bluesky put out a feedback request and despite many people voicing concerns about the changes, very concerning updates have been maintained. Bluesky has MANY moderation tools that users can utilize themselves to restrict content that they don't want to see without needing to prevent the content from being published on the site as a whole. Aside from content labels, there are user-run moderation lists and feeds so that anyone can curate their content easily. Despite this, you have chosen to move forward with some incredibly harmful policies that restrict free speech. I implore you to remove the following policies: 1) The restriction of FICTIONAL kink content. Non-con, dub-con, and “dangerous” kink content that is FICTIONAL does not harm anyone. 2) The restriction of content depicting or discussing self harm, suicide, and substance abuse. Requiring content about these subjects to only be “educational” is extremely harmful to those dealing with these issues. Stigma only serves to further endanger people in crisis. If these policy changes are not removed then I, among many others, will have to look for a different platform to use.
