You asked (well a couple of you) and I listened! AusBIAS monthly meeting presentations will now be available on YouTube! (with speaker permission) First up is last month's presentation by Cam Nowell taking us on a whirlwind tour of projects that come across his desk.

AusBIAS sticker on a glowing PC case
Haven't posted in a while. Since before I was at @globias.bsky.social conference in fact. But that did inspire me: AusBIAS got swag!
If you're heading to LMA2026, you should be able to hunt down your own AusBIAS sticker to help spread the word about image analysis in Australia!

Just 4 days until the start of I2K and its 33 totally free image analysis tutorials and events! Please share with your "home networks", especially early career researchers - the videos will be amazing and high-impact no matter how many people attend live, BUT (1/x)

Day two of @globias.bsky.social symposium ended with a "call for help" session. It takes courage to speak at a conference telling your peers about what you know, it takes even more to ask for help with what you don't know. Great job from the presenters and great suggestions by the audience.

Longer wrap-up to come, but in the meantime: we had a fantastic and productive time at the napari hackathon at @globias.bsky.social 2025 conference! Thanks to all the participants and to the GloBIAS team for hosting us!

Beautiful location, amazing food and warm bioimage analysis community. What wlse does one need? ๐
Thanks to @globias.bsky.social for this event
Day one of @globias.bsky.social symposium. Analysis and sake is a surprisingly good pairing.
New blog post! Before heading off to @globias.bsky.social we'd love to hear about how image analysis is performed and accessed by the microscopy community! Find info and link here: ausbias.org/blog/2025/10...
Halfway to I2K is BACK, friends of all kinds! Last year, 650 people attended 30+ TOTALLY FREE image analysis workshops of all kinds, across many timezones.
If you make image analysis software and want to teach it, workshop submissions are open now! We'd love to have your tool highlighted.
One of the great things about HPC is the ability to fail at so many more things at once.
Trying to fill out the calendar for AusBIAS monthly online meetings. 3 or 4 spots left that will go to members first if requested, but if you're an internationally based image analyst and would like an invite - let me know! Just be aware of time zones, +10GMT isn't great for everyone!
Saving this video to show to anyone who asks "What is it you do?"
