A trap of social media is pretending that you can relate to anyone and have simply chosen to not believe/do/become whatever but for real I just do not get a lot of people and why they want what they want or do the stuff they do, and bridging this gap has taken up a lot of my lifetime mental energy.

this is what they elected trump to do. rising low-end wages threatened bosses' power over workers and they were more than willing to slow down the economy if it meant crushing the labor market

we can hope!
Use FreeTaxUSA! The name is goofy but the product is excellent. You'll pay nothing in WA, and you won't support Intuit's long crusade against making taxes easier.
projection. we wish we had storms that cool**
** not to trivialize the danger, just uhhhh i love me a good heavy storm
congrats on comprising 1/7 of all bsky search results for the word "dracura", btw
“I dislike social commentary. Like… I really hate it. When I’m reading a book, I just want to be entertained, not preached at by the author. Plus, it ruins the wonder of the story if I know the author has a political or social axe to grind. I no longer speculate about all possible outcomes of the story because I know for a fact that the universe of that book will conspire to ensure that the author’s political agenda is validated. I hate that,” Weir said. “I put no politics or social commentary into my stories at all. Anyone who thinks they see something like that is reading it in on their own. I have no point to make, and I’m not trying to affect the reader’s opinion on anything. My sole job is to entertain, and I stick to that.” “For instance, as a lifelong Star Trek fan, it’s always bothered me that there is a presumed ‘responsibility’ within Star Trek shows to talk about social issues,” the writer added. “I just want to watch Romulans and the Federation shoot at each other.”
Ah, so Andy Weir is like... *dumb* dumb

I... don't think chipzel is trans? I've followed her work (and political posts) long enough that it'd be slightly weird for the topic to never come up
regardless, it's a superb soundtrack! love how each battle track has a few different in-game start points that each give them a different 'feel'
the cookies 'n cream snoot 😭
how's Mia feeling about the interloper?
UmJammer Lammy! I got the full game when it released, and noticing that they'd changed the first level's "you can play in hell" to "you can play in an island" made me realize, for the first time, that games could be localized in ways that change the experience
(in my defense, I was 9-ish)
I apparently made it onto a blocklist for "Antishippers - General list of antis i come across as well as users that like posts directly about distaste of taboo fiction. Will mostly contain anti l0lish0 users."
my literal only guess for a reason is bsky.app/profile/vyhd...

(changing terms is obviously not as impactful as conscientious traffic engineering, but I think it's worth emphasizing that these are preventable. babies have accidents; drivers crash.)
I've never heard of ID-0, so that sounds like a spot-on pick 🫡 thank you!
what TV show (live, anime, whatev) would you recommend that you think gets recommended the least often?
it does make one wonder where all the "run the government like a business" folks ran off to, given this golden opportunity for NYC to make $35 per day per publicly parked car.
Even if it takes years, we have to bring EVERYONE who made this happen to justice. No moving on, no letting this go.
Revenge is good enough motivation for me personally, but the nobler and important reason is to ensure that anyone who thinks of doing this again knows they’ll rot in prison for it.
Old comic I'm still happy with
I miss quality reporting without an agenda.

congrats! buraikku jikorizer is shockingly hard to lock into and easy to trip up, that's a solid get
the thing is, the current regime is intentionally doing that. the tariffs are an intentional method of robbing every non-millionaire of money and, indirectly, political power
kawaii desu ne~ :3c
he's consistently been on the wrong side of local elections (hosting Tavel's parties, endorsing Saka on his site), and he occasionally drops by WSB to say headass things like how we shouldn't add progressive taxes because we're "jealous of rich people"
ymmv, but I think he just got caught. again.
one of the strangest and most frustrating things about being alive today is that we have science and research on basically every issue, but it always gets pushed aside in favor of some guy who thought about it for one minute and thinks he knows the answer
