I think EA execs should be sprayed with water every time they tell devs what to do. Actually they shouldn't be allowed to look in any devs direction. Leave them alone. Everyone who worked on Veilguard deserves to celebrate what they did. Despite the obstacles they made my favorite game. Thank you 💕

Then when Solas escaped, he just waited for Rook to show up. He created a hangman fade area while he was trapped and he's in his chair, feet on the table and when Rook walks in to his face room he says "hey kid" with a care free smile.

It would have been funny that instead of killing Varric, Varric got stuck in the fade with Solas. Solas would secretly love being around his old friend again and the plot twist was that Varric could have left weeks ago but wanted to stay with Solas and remind him he's not alone.

What if after Lucanis takes Rook to the Market, he spends the entire night thinking about how he forgot to get them anything. 😂 Like I know they went to the cafe together, but you know that man feels bad he didn't get them anything especially if Rook bought the dagger for him.

There is no shame in either opinion, until you start shaming people for not having the same opinion. I love Lucanis, but I can also be disappointed in feeling like his romance wasn't completely fleshed out.

Any criticism about Lucanis's romance is always met with "you just expected Zevran 2.0" Actually I expected an awkward mess like Alistair. I think we can be respectful that some people were disappointed and some people had no issues with the romance.

They did great on the devastation factor. 😭 I feel so hopeless walking through the Eluvian. I saved Treviso for the last 4 playthroughs, so saving Minrathous is still so shocking to me. Sad Lucanis also hurts so much since he just got back home for the first time in a year and now it's blighted.😭

However, I will continue saving Treviso as seeing it blighted was so upsetting (in a good way story wise). Also Lucanis's romance is locked, which sucks (yet understandable (but I also think Neve should be locked out too not just Rook)).

I saved Minrathous for the first time (I'm nearing the point of no return). The quest line is just far more interesting than saving Treviso. After playing it I just feel like less effort was made to make saving Treviso unique and interesting especially the quest lines.

Oops I forgot a major detail that Solas does not have the dagger when he goes to the fade. My explanation is that he drew Varric out while Rook was in the fade prison and was going to wait until the chaos of the veil coming down to settle to bring Varric out.

Solas draws the remnants of Varric out of the dagger in the fade. But, he does not avoid this fragment like he does Mythal. (So many tears because Varric doesn't hate him). Fragment Varric travels with Solas (and Lavellan depending on your ending) once again.

I'm crossing all my fingers and toes, burning candles and manifesting remasters of DAO and DA2.

I've replayed Davrin's commitment scene like 10 times tonight. It's soooo good.

I was losing my mind during this scene.

Meeting Cyrian and Inner Demons didn't give that to me. A lot of the notes we read in Inner Demons, we already heard Lucanis say. So we didn't really get any new information. I just wish for more for them, because they are such well written characters. Their romances are just lacking.

Something I've reflected on after playing all commitment scenes are that Lucanis and Bellara's scenes don't progress the relationship very well. I don't expect all commitment scenes to have a kiss. But they were missing the vulnerability and communication of their relationship.

Unfortunately Bellara and Lucanis got the short end of the stick in my opinion in their commitment scenes. I wish they had the amount of substance in Davrin and Emmrich's scenes while staying true to their characters and their romances.

I played all the companion's commitment scenes back to back to experience them all. Holy shit, Davrin and Emmrich had the best hands down. The little touches, the glances. My god they were beautiful and exquisite.

Rook reaching out to take Lucanis's hand but stopping themselves would have added some angst, some good slow burn, and would have been super cute.

My first playthrough after the prologue I thought that Varric's life force was going to be dependent on being in the fade after being stabbed with the lyrium dagger. I still think it would be a cool plot device especially with Solas wanting to bring down the veil.

I hope this phoenix in Veilguard will eventually be able to get down. Poor thing, it's just stuck.

People complain about "playersexual" characters, even if they were I don't give a shit. I want to kiss everybody.

I'm just imagining Rook visits everyone and they're eating dinner in their rooms and Rook is like I thought we were all eating together. 😂 Lucanis also swears up and down that he's only thanking Rook.

Rook looks lovingly at Lucanis as he cooks sipping (Antivan) wine. When he's done he brings the plates to the table. He gets shy and awkward when Rook compliments the food. They get open up about their feelings and reservations, they hold hands and the screen fades to black.

What if Lucanis's commitment scene was that he did make a special dinner for Rook and told everyone to stay out of the dining room. Then everyone not so subtly alludes to the surprise. Lucanis pours Rook wine and then cooks.

I love that people found Lucanis's romance perfect and satisfactory. But I don't appreciate that any complaint is met with "you're wrong, you don't understand slow burns!"
