This is hell.
They are talking like traffic engineers haven't been trying - and failing - to fix traffic congestion for the last 70+ years
It's the wrong question to ask
And a good part of the reason we're in the mess that we're in
Definitely, I just don’t associate those things with justice.
“Unhoused” doesn’t bother me. it reframes the problem as the society that fails to provide housing rather than pointing blame at people who have failed to keep a home.
I’ve seen it in grant CFPs and found it pretty gross, but it felt more like a prison industry euphemism than activist speak. (I have not investigated the actual origin.)
Cars got pushed on us, for sure, but I'm not sure how good the analogy is.
Somebody should make an actual play RPG show about vampires that opens with a bunch of good jokes about tech bros.

Glad someone posted this immediately.
“Funny” is one word for it…
IMO, we cannot possibly underestimate how little our elected officials and their staff actually know about how transportation works. And when you really look it in the face, it's obvious why we have the transportation system we do, and what we need to do to fix it.

Never forget, a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users.
ALL ROAD USERS.

“Many people are unaware, or only passingly aware, that Rowling has become a full-time agitator against trans people—particularly trans women and trans kids, who she expressly believes do not exist—and that she has used her personal wealth and platform to further a suite of causes to that end…”

Trying to keep up with the more “masculine” looking Kia Carnival (which is fine but doesn’t have enough physical knobs).
“Streets for play, streets for freedom” by @aliceferguson.bsky.social & @timrgill.bsky.social makes the case for a "child lens" on transport policy. Time to prioritise those most impacted yet least considered in planning our streets: Children.
