I’ve never liked “partner,” but husband” is odd, given the definition and history. My male spouse and I usually reference each other as “spouse.” Lately, I have noticed with my law students that even cis-gender, hetero students refer to their opposite sex significant others and spouses as “partner.”

What is the data? I think apprenticeships should make a return for the sake of professional identity development. However, there are some really terrible lawyers who should never train other lawyers. How do we "qualify" a master to train an apprentice? Do trade unions have a model?
