Photo of an article from a Norwegian newspaper. The question asked and partly answered in the article is who was the biggest author in Norway in the 1920s, Hamsun or Garborg?
Knut Hamsun or Arne Garborg? Who was the biggest of the two? A very tricky question. Both are giants of the Norwegian and Scandinavian literature, but in rather different ways.
As much as I appreciate Garborg, Hamsun still speaks to me in a way Garborg never has.

It's the present tense of the verb 'å take' in nynorsk.
Enjoy. 😊

After two days full work and night-time engagements, I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying a relaxing Saturday without anything planned.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Lots of love to Chonk.❤️

The Icelandic word of the day is 'að mala': 'to purr'. The same verb, in the forms 'å male / mala', is used in Norwegian.
(You can't hear him purr from a picture but, believe me, loud purring is happening).
I've probably never heard it either.
Happy my little vote contributed to this defeat.

It went very well! I could have run more, but I didn't want to push my luck.😊
Took a selfie stretching afterwards.
I've had problems with a hip that's been hurting all week since the last time I ran. Going for a run today again. The weather's too good not to. Fingers crossed my hip won't complain too much!

Lovely night out to celebrate a dear friend 50th birthday yesterday. Excellent company, delicious food and gorgeous wine.

No problem! Portuguese it is. I'll fix some snacks too.
