Regulatory oversight of homeschooling making you uncomfortable doesn't mean you get to ignore abuse in your homeschool community. Educate children about abuse, make a child protection policy, interview a child protection professional—do something!

I responded by playing therapist. I said I wondered why she would think that. I encouraged her to explore her feelings around this.

I remember one time after I moved out (about 5 years ago) my mom asked me why I was afraid to be a woman. I could tell this was a "gotcha!" moment for her. She thought if she could just say the right line I would stop being trans.

I'm feeling more and more uncomfortable using social media at all lately. Sad to hear this site is more of the same. I thought we might have something different.
Also I was able to get it from my library even though it just came out?! (This is why we queer our libraries folks!) They didn't have a copy of boys weekend so I will definitely be buying that one soon.

The worst part about the news about the national guard being deployed to DC is that I was raised evangelical Christian and surrounded by folks who loudly declared they would fight back against tyranny and a government who used force against its own people. Those people are absolutely silent rn.
