She raised concerns about her company's contracts with ICE. Then she lost her job Billie Little had worked for Thomson Reuters for about two decades. She was fired after questioning whether federal immigration agents unlawfully used their products.

“Little, who worked in legal publishing, was part of a committee of employees that sent a letter to company management in February flagging that ICE could be using Thomson Reuters products unlawfully”

Like a reverse horseshoe theory... Far far right fascists, but too drunk, high, and incompetent to succeed at tyranny.

This is my presumption about his motives, and I don't give the benefit of the doubt to fossil fuel industry talking heads, nor any other death cultists. So, whatever your motive for being obtuse about what's happening here by being contrarian, nobody cares. ✌️

It matters because the specific metrics were chosen to attempt to display coal as a more vital and thriving energy source than it really is. Since I can't ask him if this is the case, nor would he tell the truth about it anyways, the proof is in the historical record and the fight for climate justice

Does oil that's used for transportation somehow not matter because it isn't converted to electricity first? How is this misleading? The primary faults of fossil fuel energy sources are CO2 emissions, environmental hazards, scarcity and regional conflicts for control and access, and access difficulty

As far as climate change and CO2 emissions go, the total use of fossil fuels is what matters most. Not fossil fuels as a percentage of a specific subset of energy use, even an important one (20%) like electricity.

It's cherry picking in that if he were to claim coal was still going to be the #1 source of global energy use when he dies, he'd be wrong. Even if he claimed that the sum of all fossil fuels would be #1 source when he dies, there's a pretty high chance even that will be wrong, unless he dies soon.

It's probably true he'll die before coal ends it's reign of electricity generation. Though, this metric is much less important than total energy use, and is clearly cherry picked to make coal look more important than it really is, as it's losing its relevance quickly in total global energy use.

Electricity Mix Explore data on where our electricity comes from and how this is changing.

Electricity production is only about 20% of global energy use.

Solar and wind have taken up about 10-15% of the electricity generation market share in the last 15% and coal has lost about 10-15% in the same timeframe.

I misread "electricity" as "energy". Yeah, that changes the dynamic. Though "electricity generation" is less of the whole picture compared to looking at global energy use. Because energy used in other formats besides electricity matters equally.

Even if he dies today, the statement isn't true unless you exclude oil. He wouldn't be missed, nonetheless.

Although, that makes him more of an idiot, not less.

BREAKING: Xavier Becerra Bolts Into First Place in IVN California Governor Poll Survey of 3,404 verified California voters shows Democrat in front. Second-choice data reveals where Yee's supporters are headed.

New CA governor poll: Becerra pulls away from the pack. Aside from Swalwell's exit, seems the undecided % has shrunk. Also has data on 2nd choice vote--helpful for seeing where Yee's ~2.5% support will go to now that she's dropped out. Weds' debate should be interesting.

Clarence Thomas ruled in favor of Citizens United. Harlan Crow's political contributions then went up 862%

Then we later find out Thomas let Crow take him on lavish trips, buy his mom's house, and help fund his wife's conservative nonprofit.

But go on about how "progressivism" is a problem...

I don't think I'll ever get over Clarence Thomas ruling on cases related to Jan 6 knowing that his wife was an active participant in the attempted coup.

Or ruling on cases related to govt regulations and a wealth tax knowing he took gifts from billionaires.

It's a disgrace.

Mr Brown said women were routinely flown into the UK on Epstein’s private jet Lolita Express. Visas issued, payments made and girls transported into Stansted Airport’s private terminal. Yet flight logs were incomplete and unnamed passengers simply labelled as “female”. www.thesun.ie/royals/16542...
