That website gives reasons why a council might not collect paper separately (eg cost) but the council must make a written assessment of why they are not doing so. I'm not sure if they have to publish it. My council (LBHF) also mixes recycling
Biffa say that they separate the different materials

I love that building. Sometimes the art is a bit weird but it's always worth a visit.

Surely that is the plan? When they spot an incoming missile, they will simply punch it out of harm's way.

Does the Telegraph have any actual journalists? As far as I can tell there is just a collection of people who just spout weird nonsense and forecast the end of the world.

Are they dark chocolate? My body is a temple so I'm avoiding milk chocolate :-)

Those lights are spectacularly badly done. It would have probably been cheaper and definitely looked better to have just put a TV screen behind them with the title on it.

I know it wouldn't be easy, but are we coming to the point where we should scrap NI and just put up income tax. As a pensioner, I'd lose out but given that income tax and NI basically go in the same pot it feels cleaner.

Sadly, most of the people who tunnelled out of PoW camps are no longer with us but they would have made an excellent job of building a secret railway.

Wow! Just had to do the conversion from kg to lb and £ to $ but in the UK it's less than $5 for 2 lb.
I haven't been to the USA for a few years but food used to be cheap.

There's a piece of software which is frequently used by astrophysicists for plotting graphs and it's called Supermongo. The name is normally abbreviated to SM and searching for info about that can give some fun results.

@tflondon.bsky.social The Vale in Acton has been closed for over 24 hours with the 207, 218 and SL8 on diversion but your website says there are no problems on these services. Please fix.
