Also of note, Iowa paid Chris Rufo—perhaps the leading propagandist for the current assault on higher ed, an unqualified hack and admitted fabulist—$34,000 to speak. It's embarrassing that any higher ed institution would invite him, especially when they are cutting departmental budgets.

It's also true that the American political system was designed, explicitly, to perpetuate minority rule by an elite. The founders were, by and large, elite, wealthy land speculators, merchants, and enslavers.

They feared majority rule because their wealth depended on them owning land and people.

Hm… Judge Adelman raises the issue of who has standing to assert privilege against civil arrest in or near court. He states this privilege is to be asserted by the subject of the arrest…not by an agent of the court.
