This is from a pretty well regarded games history website too.

Finding anyone who wants to genuinely engage with Bubsy 3D beyond dumping garbage on it and kicking it to pieces is almost impossible. Even most of the interviews with the creator are down on the game.

It's sad because it's a very unique title in 3d games history. Nothing else was like it.
