BREAKING: The Senate declined to advance a bill that would exclude transgender student athletes from playing on sports teams that align with their gender identity.
All young people deserve the freedom to be themselves on and off the field.

Vote AGAINST the "Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act."
Trans rights are non-negotiable.
If you vote to pass this bill, it will be VERY hard to regain my vote and my trust.
In conclusion, glad he had a town hall and is open to feedback. If he actually takes that feedback into account when voting, I'll consider reelecting him.

5. No mention of his upcoming retreat with crypto people. I am not interested in reelecting someone in favor of crypto, period. He needs to address this with his constituents directly.
4. Mentioned relying on judges and the 2026 elections for progress in opposition. We don't have two years. I'm glad he didn't give us false hope about the Supreme Court. But, we also don't have two years of leeway. Dems need to do what Republicans did when they had a minority in the Obama admin.
3. He said a few times that social pressure and shaming works to change minds. I agree to an extent - more of it needs to come from the inside. He needs to use the relationships he's building in his committees to sway Republicans to the best of his ability.

Seconded. None of the arguments against trans folks in sports should be validated in any way. It's more than bullying - Attacking trans folks as political fodder is a human rights issue. Trans rights for all ages are non-negotiable.
