Who on earth will hold Israel accountable for their actions?

It appears to be roughly 1/3 of the US population and they hold immense power. The levels of fundamentalist indoctrination often appear to be so high that their beliefs simply cannot be reconciled with the culture of the other 2/3 of the population. This is not a sustainable situation.

I think we need to start internalising just how many Americans are raised to believe in the kinds of religious fundamentalism that you’ve pointed out here and the fact that they’re powerful enough to place their members in the highest positions of power, such as our current Secretary of War.

That thing you’re experiencing right now is called cognitive dissonance. None of what our world leaders & mainstream media are saying or doing makes any sense and it all seems to jar with the most obvious realities, yes? Well, this has always been going on. The difference is the extreme escalation.

In that dehumanization we find many layers: Christian Nationalists, Christian Zionists, AIPAC (regular Zionists), the Military-Industrial Complex and the Politico-Media Complex, to name some of the fundamentals. How do we tackle the tangled web of all of these extremely powerful entities?

There are an estimated 30–50 million American Christian Zionists in the USA—10% of the population—and that’s only one fanatical Christian group. Christian Nationalists make up roughly 1/3 of the population. Their views are irreconcilable with the rest of modern American culture. They won’t stop.

Those in charge of the US government are not like the cold, calculating neoconservatives of yesteryear. These are unhinged religious fanatics, some of whom intend to cause armageddon in order to resurrect Christ at all costs. It is now clear that only a coup d’état will save us from this insanity.

There is a very real possibility that Israel will deploy tactical nuclear weapons if things continue to escalate. They’ve been met with unexpected levels of resistance from both an Iranian regime that did not crumble & Hezbollah in Lebanon. The option is literally on the table. This is insanity.

You think 2026 is peak cognitive dissonance? I’m 48 years old and I haven’t seen anything but escalation for as long as I can remember. We have further to go. The next phase is when people start eating their own flesh in order to lose weight and Elon Musk buys the entire solar system.
