I said (paraphrasing): A lot of people would have wanted to move here and could have been productive and happy and sent money back to their families and built a global care network. Instead, we're going to lock them out and force women inside the wall to produce more children. Not how I would do it.
We have a manuscript under review, using interviews w/ reproductively aged, voluntarily childless adults. Leading reason is desire for flexibility & freedom. Also here osf.io/preprints/so... we argue that environmentalism might be reason to postpone but not necessarily outright forego fertility.
