Harold is seen by many as a symbol of safety. When he arrives, a wave of relief washes over anyone in peril. He patrols the island searching for anyone that may be in distress, and leaps into action where few else would dare.
Even so, both have a longing for something more. Gordon sometimes wishes he could do more than just pull the same rake of coaches the same 80-something miles. His siblings set records abroad. His claim to fame was through a series of pocket-sized children's books.
Harold used to enjoy airshows, until Tabitha showed up. Her tandem rotors and larger stature always made Harold feel small. She'd talk endlessly about her rescues abroad and never failed to leave Harold feeling inferior - even after she'd returned home. Every once in a while, he'd find himself wishing he had grand stories like hers to tell.
