I’m just glad I found you, I’ve always enjoyed all of your travel photos. 😁

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.
Fuck Bari Weiss, fuck bootlicking regime propaganda
I think you’re both a terrible person and the worst thing to come out of our shared hometown. You’re a disgrace.
I have roughly 20ish weeks until I get to see Steven Wilson perform live again, so I’m spending that time doing a retrospective listen, one album a week. I should probably toss some Blackfield in there as well, but I’m excited for another Porcupine Tree summer. 🖤
Sessanta was pretty awesome.
I can see your post about removing the post, but not the original and not the linked comment they also deleted. Thank you for putting the link here.
This one, too.
Started reading Naomi Klein’s Doppelgänger last night. This quote from the introduction stood out to me.
it’s probably a voluntary response survey, so you have to keep in mind what sort of bias those kinds of surveys have. Read it for yourself and see how it’s being portrayed to the public.

There’s a decent handful of conservatives crowing about TFG’s approval ratings & something about liberal tears. 🙄 But I was curious as to where that survey originated. I found the survey data – it’s in coordination between CBS/YouGov which means that…
I am having a day.
That is all.
Sending all those needing support and community some warmth and love today. Even when we feel like it most, we aren’t alone.
Doing the easiest thing I can do for self-care today: I am stripping the bed linens to wash & air the mattress out, if only because it will ensure that I can’t crawl back in. Opened the windows too, even though it’s only like 45F outside.
Do what you need to reset. The exhaustion is the point.
Not every listing has the full text, some just summaries. Remember, these are just bills, not fully fledged laws. Just bills on Capitol Hill.
If you are curious about what your congresspeople are doing, this is a good place to start. It was not good for my brain space and emotional well-being, no. But there’s some genuinely nefarious stuff in here.

Haven’t been able to get this song out of my head for at least the last week.

I empathize deeply. I left a position when I moved here, and that position was completely grant funded. All I could think of is how this is going to be such a hardship for so many. (“Temporary hardship” my ass, Musk.)
A moment to breathe.
Rika loves the pantry.
I used to be irritated and annoyed that unless you knew someone to vouch for you (which isn’t how it’s supposed to work, but it’s how I’ve seen it work), it was impossible to navigate the hurdles of non-political government employment.
Not anymore. Thank goodness. I feel deeply for them, though.
I’d love to swap addresses with you, Serene. One of my goals this year is to work on my handwriting by way of doing a calligraphy course! I’ll PM you. :)
They also have a lot of seasonal stuff that only seems to come around in random spurts. I’m following a couple of communities so I can find out when they drop. This is one of the things I picked up around Christmas that was very tasty.
Breakfast before work.
And btw Jam According to Daniel is my favorite jam maker. Local to Charlottesville, VA. I like my jam tart, and they absolutely deliver on that.

They have these prepackaged Pan au Chocolat that are decent with coffee. They aren’t super flaky, they are kinda similar to Sbux’s chocolate croissant, but they work. Microwave 18 seconds and enjoy. :)
I had a planned CEU webinar with the CDC next week. It just got canceled.
Really, really hard to not read into this right now.
