This is amazing Dylan. Outstanding!
Finally there next part of Salvation. Sorry it took so long. I've been on a poetry run lately.

Ah Camp LeJeune I remember you well. The pride that comes being part of the finest. The misery of being a grunt in December.

This one hurts. But we must hold those elected accountable, even at our expense.

Sometimes The hardest things to read are the most truthful. Caution before reading my friends. These two variations of the same poem deal with Child sexual exploitation. open.substack.com/pub/reflecti...
Poetry helps us explain the unexplainable. This is my attempt at explaining a place I have found myself more than a few times. I am lucky — I have a very strong safety net. Many people don't.

I want to clean you up when you are full.
This image reminds me when I was stationed in Japan 40 years ago. Good memory.
I am a life long Democrat. And while I completely agree, would it not be better to show this instead of just saying this. When we say without showing we can be pushed aside as being hyperbolic party hacks.
When we show, we win the conversation. Look at the SAVE act.
Caution with this one. It needs to be spoken about. However, the topic is very heavy and care must be taken. It contains an image of CSA within a religious environment.

Take Heed. If you fall into one, most likely you will fall into all.

This poem flowed from an unfinished thought,
"There is the light..."
I had to earn this poem. The end result far surpasses the starting image. I hope you like it.

The last one from this early morning writing. It is gentle. Kind. And it feels like the right one to end today's writing on.

This is what happens when I have nightmares.
Two poems and a half a story latter and my mind has calmed down.

I think it is living in love.
Not token, idealized love.
But the dirty, hard love that does not shirk or shrink away.
It is using your gifts for the betterment of more than you.
My gift is words - writing.
And so I write for one unknown person -
This is living in love.
This is quiet resilience.
Three bottoms.
They will be fighting over their roles.
This one flowed out. There was only one line edit. I suppose i could have refined it even more. But in doing that I think it would have lost its humanity.

Have.
I'm working on a new Sci-Fi and AI, rights of personhood and the American experience, is it available to all?
Still the absolute best doggie ever
I really like this one. It blend theology and philosophy together creating a beautiful message. I hope you like it.

Lucky girl
The people of Nermar don’t love perfectly.
They love persistently and that changes everything.
If you’re looking for a world built on courage, community, and the stubborn grace of ordinary people who keep choosing each other, step into Nermar.

This lands hard - and rightly so. We are in dangerous times being led by an administration that is more concerned with their image than the lives of the service member they command.
