Been there.
One of the greatest panels ever in a superhero book. Why? First because it's actually IN a superhero book, also it shows sacrifice to keep your family safe, the tediousness of a job that you need money for to pay bills and live. The silliness! It's great! From Jupiter's Legacy #4.

Darth Vader #34 -roughs to finished cover. Three roughs had to be provided so the higher-ups could choose. Number 3 was picked to go to final.
Issue 35-- we gave Vader a shield (that fired bolts) instead.
Doctor Aphra's bum was too sexy in panel 4- had to tone it down in this Darth Vader rough.
Many things were proposed and shot down on the Darth Vader series.
