Current approach is to pick out creatures from a medieval bestiary and take a stab at drawing them. Nothing too interesting so far, most fantastical thing has been an alerion (big fire-colored eagle).

Trying to get back into the habit of doodling. Traditional art is harsh on my hands, but ideally when the mental habit is established I can transfer it to pixel art without too much trouble. Plus, it's not like the practice is unwelcome.

Y'know, just last night I was arguing that there isn't much merit in advertising a fic I was no longer invested in writing, and the very next day I get a commenter and the endorphin shot was sweet regardless. So, if anybody wants to read a #Blitzarolli AU where their injuries are swapped...

This would also explain why hallucinogenics make it easier to interact with spirits. The more stimuli your brain is willing to free-associate or outright make up, the easier it is for spirits to slip into those patterns and communicate.

Random #worldbuilding babble: Spirits dwell in pareidolia. The mere perception of a pattern makes it easier for spirits to slip into them and manifest through them. Ergo, a paranormal phenomenon can simultaneously have a rational explanation and be genuine supernatural activity.

Also I do #lowpoly stuff on Blockbench sometimes. Not very good at texturing though, so I've been trying to focus on pixel art until I get the hang of it.

Probably my most complete #pixelart to date, never bothered to add the magic-raven-sword-blast or whatever that would've really finished it off.

Been advised to post some of my old art rather than wait for my depression to allow me to make something new, so here's me experimenting with sprite sizes.
