I haven't been writing at all this week, so it was nice to sit down for an hour and just write out something short and simple. (It was also a way to vent about how dreary it is outside. 🥲)

I was inspired to write about the kinds of spring colours I'm experiencing right now, and how Dohalim would probably find them disappointing. 🤭

It's funny that her fishing pond quest ends in her deciding to make multiple fishing ponds to meet the needs of the people there, instead of focusing on her own dream–classic, selfless Kisara! So I see the oceanfront fishing fantasy as just for her. 😊

Thistlym is the perfect example of a "nice, quiet place near the water" that Dohalim and Kisara can retreat to once their cities are no longer as dependent on them. 🥰

And the ending artwork in the base game shows she DOES spend time in Thistlym! The background matches Thistlym perfectly! And she is not there as a soldier, but in casual clothing, so I like to believe she spends some time settled there–maybe an in-between home before she and Do return to Menancia.

And I think that "greediness" could not only be related to fishing, but that Thistlym is much closer to where Dohalim is living. Kisara will likely be able to spend time away from Viscint before Dohalim can leave Pelegion, since Menancia is more stable than Ganath Haros.

On the one hand, it's interesting that her dialogue changes depending on the order of the sub-quests, but I also find the missable line where she says she might be getting greedy so important! She has already decided to make 3 fishing ponds, so how is it greedy to want to fish in the ocean too?

On my second playthrough of Beyond the Dawn, I noticed this first line at the end of "Seeking the Ideal Waterfront" was missing...because I had completed the Thistlym sub-quest "A Nice Spot for Love and Healing" first! So Kisara had already expressed intrigue about fishing in the ocean. 🧵⬇️

It will be fun to read these little fan Q&As for the Arise couples each Monday! 😊 I'm so happy that someone mentioned Thistlym as a possible home for DoKisa because this is what I like to imagine for them. 🤭
